Life out of Alignment

If you're struggling to get out of bed day by day, battling mental warfare, ignoring physical lingering pain, or dealing with limitations, then this short message might be for you.

For anyone who has experienced an adjustment before, either by a Chiropractor, Physical Therapist, or other health care practitioner, you know how it leaves you feeling afterward. An adjustment helps you become more focused, decreases pain, increases blood flow, and increases mobility and balance. Sometimes you feel a little sore afterward, but it's so worth it!

Our life is oddly similar.

Now, I do not want to get off track, but speaking of "balance," that ever reaching thing we peoples are continually trying to achieve. It seems we just can't quite grasp it. Have you questioned why? I have. Here are my thoughts...

Maybe, just maybe we can't obtain a real-life, authentic, self-motivating, easily get out of bed, pain-free balance is due to the simple, yet in our face, fact, that we are out of alignment.

Do you need an adjustment?

I'm not talking about an adjustment from your Chiropractor.

I'm talking about an adjustment from God.

Did your muscles tense a little when I said that? God?

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 9:11

Are you ready to take a seat and trust Him?

God tells us, "come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28. But are you willing and ready?

I'm starting to think it's human nature that we ignore those lingering pains. We tend to just go on with our lives as if nothing is wrong or always responding with, "I'm fine" to those who ask.

It's like we have this internal responsibility to make sure we have it all figured out, all on our own. We tell ourselves, this so-called balance will come at any moment, but we have to take the path we think is "right," but in all actuality, it is not.

Pause.

This sounds messy.

Simply put: our life needs an adjustment from God.

Ask God: Lord, help me trust you even through the unexpected twists and turns of life.

God's Word: " He will strengthen you and help you; He will uphold you with His righteous right hand, praying for your healing." - Isaiah 41:10

If we continue to ignore the fact that our life is out of balance, then how can it be obtained? Allowing those lingering pains to grow will only lead to deeper, rooted hurt.

It could be that coworker you're battling daily?

It could be your spouse?

It could be your finances?

It could be self-acceptance?

It could be a newly discovered sickness?

Whatever the lingering pain is in your life, give it to God.

Cast your burdens on Him.

"Cast your burdens on the Lord, He will sustain you." - Psalm 55:22

God is here. He is present.

God hears us, loves us, knows us.

Are you willing to take a seat and allow him to palpate, mold, and adjust the plans He has in store for you? Will you let Him work out the kinks?

Yes, you might feel a little sore afterward; sore from the stubbornness.

Let go and allow.

The Lord tells us: "I will guide you always; satisfying your needs..." - Isaiah 58:11

When we hand our lives over to God, the less we have to worry about. We begin to replace worry with prayer. We will see our lives become more balanced and more in alignment with the plans God has for us. When we have our failures, hurts, or brokenness from the world, God is there picking up right back up and molding us back together. When we give our lives to God, we are not alone, we are sustained, balanced.

"Be still and know that I am with you." -Psalms 46:10

Remember, just as much as we can't ignore our appointments with our health care practitioner, we can not ignore giving our lives over to God. Let's be real, when we miss an appointment with our Chiropractor, we feel it. It's a void in our week that lingers.

Well, it's no different when we ignore God.

It's a life lived on purpose, with a purpose.

A life we take control of with the confidence and guidance God waters us with.

Life doesn't have to be restricted, weighted, and immobilized. Life is meant to articulate, glide, and move harmoniously.

God's blessings will bring the balance, and the balance will bring the blessings.

Come, take a seat.

"O, Lord, you are our Father, we are the clay and you are the potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand." - Isaiah 64:8
